Titanium 110

Just to add a bit of info..... they are out of production so don't expect to stop by your local shop and buy two. ;)

Good advise Mr. smith, I did not think to add that info.

But they are great knives, get em if you can.

I bought a crystal-Titanium handled 110, actually labelled 110T (2003 production?) on the tang, a couple of years ago from a reseller. Seems it wan't much over the WallyWorld price of a regular 110 - may have been a closeout special. An oddity, it is miserably hard to unlock - and a bit stiff to open, too. Clearly, it is the worst 110 I have ever handled, function wise. It looks just like the 560 XLT others have posted. I will keep looking for the box - and post the end flap when I find it.

I also ran across a black 560 with a 110T stamped blade (non-black) just yesterday. My original thought was that the original 560 stamped blade had been replaced, but now I wonder if perhaps the factory simply ran out of 560 blades and just completed a run with 110 blades??

I believe that was the case. The blades are the same. I had one NIB that also came from the factory with a 110T blade. Mine was the crystal version though.

There are a lot of 560's with 110 blades. A lot from people having sent them in for repair and getting back a 110 stamped blade. In addition to Buck maybe slipping a 110 blade in a 560 frame if they were short on 560 stamped blades.

Those are not titanium 110's. They are 560's that just happened to have a 110 blade. There are several knives that the 110 blade will fit. That doesn't change the model number of the knife. I even have one of the pink plastic handeled bucklites that has a 110 blade in it. And since it is in mint condition I suspect that Buck slipped a 110 blade in it at the factory.

So I am correct in assuming then that all 560 stamped blades are in fact titanium??

If you want to go whole hog tactical with it, STR will put a low ride clip and thumb stud on it for you. I had one of his conversions and it was awesome.

Only if a 560 blade hasn't found its way into a 110 frame :D

But yeah, all the 560 frames as well as the 186 frame, and a few other frames are TI. Just not the blade, of course.

A PINK 426 Bucklite???

I know of maroon, green, and black...but not PINK!!!

PICTURES!!! :D

Remind me for the pink Trax...this friggin new camera I bought today came with everything BUT a SD card... I am pretty ticked for the dollars I spent.

Ok TS, just where are you finding these 560's??? Do I need to make a road trip :D:D

It seems like Tin sue's area has 560 pretty often. Maybe I need to take a road trip too. :D

BTW SGB, Welcome to the forum. This is a great group of guys.

TS, I missed this part where you said you ran across a BLACK with a NON Black 110 blade.

Did you grab it??

I would wonder about that one being a return and a reblade at Buck.

With all of the 560 posts that have popped up here over the years, don't recall a standard blade in a black 560. If only our knives could talk,,, uh wait a minute... cancell that... already had to shoot the talking dog.:rolleyes::D

Buck guys can put a new blade in a knife and it come back looking better than new.

Can you tell I like 560's :)
