Titanium 2 blade serpentine folder

I'm in. Like it very much. Contour and Anodize color the handles and I think you've got a winner.

Sweet! That is VERY nice!

You might have my new grail right there, especially if it had CPM154, ZDP or S110V blades!

That is very impressive! Like mentioned above, you did a great job of maximizing the length of the blades. I like the titanium handle's finish, it looks like it would wear well:thumbup:

I like to mix the new with the old so making a very traditional folder pattern with new materials. The blades and spring are D2 and the handles are titanium. The tricky bit was getting the pull of both blades about the same. The small blade has a tendency to be too heavy while the large blade is fine.

I made the joint sunk to be more comfortable to carry and not wear out pockets. It is surprising light and strong.

Sweet design. Far too many knife makers -- custom or otherwise -- avoid sunken joints. I love 'em!

Really nice, love the titanium.

As has been said, a more rounded design would have been interesting. I always wondered what a slipjoint with a %̲1̲0̲0̲ traditional shape and modern materials would look like.

But please forgive me for rambling. That is beautiful.

Say, that looks fine! I've clipped out all but my favorite view from your original post, as the above blade/presentation is the one that most makes me want to reach through the screen, pick up the knife, and get to it.

I've long admired your work (and the clean lines thereof), primarily due to BF member Avoidspam's representin' here in the Traditional subforum (with a little tippy-tippy-toeing betimes, due to the visible screw heads in some of your traditional [re]interpretations).

To whit:

Good stuff throughout, but this is the one that first arrested my attention, and holds it still:

Shing Puffin

It's pretty much become my default work knife already. Why? Well the frame size is pretty much perfect for my hands, offering enough to grip onto yet still is comfy in the pocket. The rounded G10 scales are comfortable and the depth of the handle is just right too, offering enough to feel solid yet your pinkies can get round it. You can also completely strip it down and clean it and it's built like a tank.

D2 means providing I don't ding it it holds an edge well.

Very nice Shing - fantastic looking knife - I really like the blade patterns you chose. OH

I was also thinking that rounded and anodized handles would make a great knife even greater.
Seriously good work!

Anodising would be tricky because it would need too be done after the knife was riveted. I do intend on installing a shield on future ones so need a die sinker to make the depression for the shield.
