I was watching John Grimsmo's videos on knife making and I noticed in the video where he visited the water jet cutter to pick up his parts that a lot of the cutoff areas were very interesting and useful shapes for someone like me that makes jewelry and sculptural items in addition to the bit of knife work I do. It got me to thinking how many of you guys have had parts cut from titanium or stainless and are sitting on some weird shapes that you don't want to throw away but have no real use for.
I'm going to check around with some waterjet places and see if they have anything interesting.
