Recommendation? Titanium frame Lock, other than CRK

I think 562CF got CF one handle and Titanium is the rest
But I'm new in 562 yard

Best frame lock folder that does not cost you too much money and retains the value well is Hinderer XM-18 3.5" skinny, as of now.

Viper knives make some nice Ti franelocks in the $250 range, such as the Katla and the Italo

If you are looking for something truly different and a step up in quality, perhaps consider a custom from Pollsh knifemakers. Yes, these are more than $450 but less than a damascus Sebbie . They cost just under $700. These are full custom

Good looking knives. I just dont get it whats with the trend of the finger choils, like the two Vipers and so many other new models... Why wasting edge lenght ? Such knives are obviously on the Gentleman site, getting rid of the finger choul will bring the edge close to the grip anyway and the knife will look still elegant and deing functional IMO.

I view those as sharpening choils. It gets the blade up and away from the plunge and gives you space to manipulate on the stone. I find that it makes life easy and keeps things nice and clean for multiple sharpenings.

Those are to big to be sharpening choils IMO. Tbe models look OK to me, just l thing they are following trend, not intended for a knife that will not take serious beating, they all looks like nice gent folders, more objects of conversation, than working knife as the Rat fis for example.
I could be mistaking but l would much pefer a smaller "sharpening" choul as most SC are, than SC with radius and cut off of the frame, where you can fit a finger. When you dont need it....

Style is certainly a part of it. Even when a choil is large enough for my finger though, and that could be its own topic, I rarely use it that way. I treat them all as sharpening choils. I've actually come to like the freedom of a larger choil in that respect. One thing that sometimes bugs me is when a knife comes with an ostensible sharpening choil but it isn't placed correctly with respect to the plunge.

As far as wasting blade space, I don't know that it ever comes up as an issue for me. Effectively, I don't remember the last time I said "if only I had a bit more blade" during regular EDC tasks. It's sort of like the anti-choil argument from Spyderco, that things can get caught in a choil. I get it but it just doesn't come up often enough as an issue in my EDC use to be a factor for me. I'm sure those things could come up for some people. I guess my life is just too boring. 🤔

I understand your point and it makes sense to me but I have different view on it…
I use fixed system for sharpening and absolutely don’t matter to me if the blade have just regular choil or something else, I can sharpen it without any SC for that matter, just as most of my Spydercos are.
It was just a thought, I come across bunch of new, good designs with this ridiculous cut off, where they can just extend the edge and leave it this way, IMO will look much better. My Manix is a simple knife with ergos, designed to work on the job site, a $400 titanium folder with elegant forms and expensive CF inlays and so on, doesn’t need such “choil” but again, it’s only my opinion, not looking to convince anyone.
