Titanium jyd 2 price

You guys that got those that cheap did better than most dealers so I would not count on that often. Those 92 and 93 dollar prices are less than cost based on what I can figure and beat it by a good bit actually.

If you can find one of those frame locking SG2 JYDs with only 400 out there my thoughts are you better snag it because 400 of a quality Kershaw frame lock is not something bound to last. Especially in a quality edge keeping top shelf steel like SG2.

That SG2 is amazing trust me. I never should have sold my Blur SG2 that I converted to a frame lock and had I known how few and far between SG2 knives were going to be in the future I'd never have let it go. If you want to see a long review on that steel read mine in the review forum for the Brown Blur I had. Its no wonder the guy that got that folder loves it! I won't be parting with the JYDII though. That model has long been my favorite one from Kershaw so this should be a real gem now that I got one coming.

For anyone who still might be sitting on the fence with regards to purchasing a Ti JYD II, I offer my own humble opinion -- Get one if you can!

I managed to snag one for under $100 a few weeks back on eBay and I was stunned that the bidding never went higher.

The Ti JYD II is my first Kershaw. It is a fantastic knife! It is nice to see a design as good as this one get made from top drawer materials -- titanium scales, G-10 backspacer, SG2 blade -- what's not to like?

The handle is very comfortable in a variety of grips -- I've grown very fond of knives that employ a finger choil and this one is no different. The blade deploys quickly and smoothly with the use of the manual flipper, although it did take me a little time to get used to the mechanics of it. The blade locks securely and shows no noticeable play in any direction. I was a bit concerned that the frame lock (my first) would not be lefty friendly, but after fiddling with it a bit, I find it just as easy to unlock as any of my other knives.

The blade itself is a 3 3/4" drop point with a thin hollow grind. The tip of mine is slightly warped, but as far as I know, this won't affect its cutting ability. Speaking of cutting ability, this is one sharp knife! Being somewhat of a steel snob, I'm glad Kershaw gave us a knife made with a new-fangled steel and thinned out the edge enough to allow users to see the true potential of that steel. Although I really prefer knives with open construction, I'm glad that this knife has a backspacer -- I would hate to have some pocket change mess up such a fine edge!

Let me add that as much as I love holes, hoods, and studs, it is nice to see a one-hand opening knife with a "virgin" blade. Finally, I really like the clip on this knife -- I just wish I could get one made in its mirror image so that I could have it modified for lefty carry. Anyway, right-hand tip down in a left pocket is not that hard to get used to -- especially for a knife like this!

In sum, a highly recommend the Ti JYD II to anyone looking for a top-notch production knife at a reasonable price. You won't regret buying one -- and even if you do, with only 400 of these out there, I doubt you would have trouble unloading it, if you so choose.

Kudos to Tim Galyean for such an amazing design, and kudos to Kershaw for bringing it to life the way they did.

Pictures would be nice. There are some very nice ones on page 4 and 5 of your unofficial picture thread. Kneedeep has some great ones and also robertmegan. Maybe someone could post them over here, they are much better than anything that I could take.

Not my best work, but here's one.
