Is the Native 5 the only one? If not, are there any knives out there worth looking at?

Appreciate the post. Im not really in the market for one, but may be in the future. Just compiling a list.

Lionsteel Big Daghetta
Boker Plus Titan
Spyderco Chaparral

Are others that I have found

Spyderco PITS
Spyderco endura/delica with Damascus (although I'm not sure if they're in production anymore)
I'm sure there are others

Benchmade has a titanium axis lock coming out soon (announced at SHOT '17)

Benchmade 781 Anthem:

It's a single piece of billet titanium and it won't be cheap!!

I like the look of that. I've recently been thinking that a 940 with titanium scales and stand-offs would be awesome.

They did do a limited edition 940 years back with titanium scales, but with the same backspacer setup that the aluminum 940 has. They are really hard to come by these days.

Amen, that would be the perfect knife. They have done limited runs of titanium 940s long ago, which scares me because I hear BM keeps their limited runs valuable and is not likely to make them production runs.

I saw this pre order at $425.......too much IMO

Yeah, too much. Based on prices of current 940 versions and Benchmade's titanium offerings, I would expect a titanium 940 to rest easily in the $300-400 range and probably close to this one. At that price I'm not interested; I'll stick to my CRKs at that level and my ZT 0450/0900 for a relative bargain. It would be sweet though...pretty close to a perfect EDC blade IMHO.
