Titanium melt/polish job?

Alright so just seeking some advice/knowledge from more experienced tinkerers. I've got a titanium framelock and I wanted to do a bit of rounding of the corners and work on the finish of it. I got tired of the really worn titanium so I polished it to 2000 grit and got a really nice high finished satin but now I want to melt the edges and redo the finish into a nice stonewash. Any advice for fixing the contours of the presentation side?

My bad, I didn't mean like a literal melt, more like smoothing all the edges to a comfortable curve

"melt" is a legit gunsmith term for rounding off sharp handle/slide contours, so . . . use files and sandpaper to contour the edges, then put the scale in a tied sock full of tiny pebbles, put that in a tshirt which you tie closed & put that in the dryer and give it a spin for an hour or so.

Well I learned something new today. People have knowledge on both ends of the scale. For sanding, a cushioned file or sandpaper on soft rubber will contour while still rounding off.
