Titanium milling with a grip

Unexpected relevant topic!

I've been carrying two knives, daily for awhile:

Hinderer XM-24 and a Spartan HF(L).

The former has a titanium lock side and a textured G-10 presentation side. The latter has very deliberate jymping.

Both very grippy.

I have nothing šŸ™ƒ to say. Shocking.

Not really a good knife but the milling is...interesting.

My favorite is probably the nature grip gen 4 Lamia. It has angled micro-milling across the entirety of both scales that is deep enough to provide texture with the more visible pattern lines being much deeper and larger. It is very grippy, though not the type of milling that helps your fingers lock into a groove or anything...more along the lines of checkering/knurling that give you some traction. Unfortunately, this is from the first run, and Alex has since reduced the depth of the milling in subsequent runs. These have become a little more sought after as the "deep milled/first run" version so I have to assume it was enough of a change that these feel better. It's definitely noticeable in pictures when you see them side by side. McNees frag pattern is very grippy as well as some of the patterns offered by Holt and Craig Brown.

I never looked into odwk. Thanks for the heads up. According to their site the product is "handfā®ckingmade". Does anyone know if those icepicks are grippy?

I haven’t had a chance to handle his ice picks. And yes hand made to the point that he told me he cuts his blanks out with a 4ā€ grinder.
