Titanium scale folder balance

Okay now I did a bit of research and it seem the Nitro-V steel is pretty close AEB-L, wich seem to be a good steel for the price.

I currently own a Leatherman Surge with a blade in 420HC and I think AEB-L is better? Can anyone confirm?

In actual use, Leatherman's 420HC is not very good relative to current budget steels. Yes, AEB-L is better. I mostly know it from the analogous 13C26 Kershaw used before the development of 14C28N. Either of those is better than 420HC. You'll also get noticeably better performance from 9Cr18Mov, Acuto 440, 440C, VG-10, or Nitro-V.

This is sort of the main complaint against Leatherman. While they offer some of their more expensive models with better steel, most of their multi-tools under $100 continue to use this subpar and glaringly obsolete blade steel.

Honestly a didn't see complain about the 420hc, but more about their heat treat. Stuff snap all the time. That's litteraly the only plier I heard about that doesn't bend before breaking.
