If a person wants aluminum, I think that Allen Putman may make a scale for the 0550 or 0560 if you asked him nicely. His honeycomb pattern looks sick on his griptilian scales...look them up. 
Yes, the golfball texture customer is me! I have a bunch of other ideas for scale patterns. The other one I'd really like is a double dimple pattern. Basically a golf ball pattern where the "ridges" are dimpled (golf balled) again. Basically a double golf ball pattern. This is sick, and I have it on a 1911, but for a one off scale, the price is likely too high. Just the golf ball pattern is quite costly. I also think that standard checkering would look great, in the 15 lpi variety. Also, I'd love to see a frag grenade kind of pattern done in titanium, I'm not a fan of the plain old box looking frag grips. If I had frag pattern done, I'd want the "edges" of the "box" patterns to be slightly beveled, maybe at 5-10*. Ugh, so many ideas, so little money and patience. Lol
