I was thinking about changing out the screws on my Griptilian to colored titanium ones. Yeah, I like a little bling! LOL!
But I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the cheap Chinese ones? Are they worth a try or just stay away? The ones I've seen are crazy cheap compared to some of the other specialized manufacturers.
Does anyone have recommendations?

I have no personal knowledge on aftermarket Griptilian screws, and I'm not sure what color you are going for, but keep in mind that if you just want a bronze color then the stock stainless screws are fairly easy to achieve it on with heat/flame (you can also get blues/purples but that's alot more tricky). That's the cheapest option yet (unless you lose a screw 🤪), especially if you already have a torch or gas stove. I simply do mine on my gas stove, clipped into a pair of hemostats. In fact, I do this to the hardware and clips on the majority of my knives just for fun.

Thanks for the advice.
I'm looking at blue titanium screws and maybe a thumb stud too.

I've bought the Chinese griptilian handle screw set from AliX,with a titanium pivot and pivot screw. Not problems at all with it.Perfectly usable.

Unlike some of those Flytanium ones that came with my 940 scale set.I couldn't believe how easily the screws on it broke or why they were soo soft.

Keep in mind sometimes the cheap Chinese stuff will advertise titanium but in the description will say something like titanium color and aluminum or steel material. At least I have seen that with pocket clips. I guess just make sure you read the fine print...

All the Titanium hardware that I have is from China and all at a fraction of the cost from US sources.None have broken.

Below I have anodized them gold.

Chinese titanium screws are softish because titanium is softer than stainless steel . one should never forget how soft (or ductile) titanium (and aluminium) is.

as long as you are aware . np

It's not that the titanium is soft but the grade used that is important. The standard being 6AL4V(Grade 5) used on every quality titanium knife out there.

The ones that I have are Grade 2 but I haven't experienced any breaks.I have cut and grinded them down.I believe Flytanium must be using Grade 1 being the softest and the most purest grade of titanium. I should note that I broke three of these screws that came with the 940 scale kit and not just one.
