Photos Titanium showcase: Let's see your favorite Ti/Ti knives

What exactly are you guys talking about? Is the tip close to exposed when closed? Pics? I'm curious, and never had one in hand.
On both the 3.25 I tried, the tip was JUST shy of proud. I could snag a finger on it with just a bit of pressure applied. I returned them both and moved on. For most I would guess it isn’t a problem. For me however, coming from 40 years of traditional knife carry, its a big no thank you. Was my biggest pet peeve when buying and selling old knives.

I just tried on my 3.25 and no matter how hard I tried I was a few mm away from being able to snag the tip when closed. I wonder if they changed something.

That’s good news. I hope they did make a change. It was honestly the only nit I could pick with the two I tried. I actually just two weeks ago almost bought the damascus version but talked myself out of the disappointment.

Honestly I didn’t even check mine but I have had other framelock folders where I could *just* feel the tip or even the edge of the blade when running the fleshy part of my thumb/finger along the handles.

My first Titanium scales! Purple/blue Metonboss flared Victoria. I love them so much, but I don't think I will put on Maxamet, I think I will put wooden flower scales on Maxamet as a gentle folder (Sakura scales from Gungrips/Svetchnikov) and put a tougher steel on there like Cruwear. Cruwear, S45, REX 45 and BD1N are my options, but I can't choose which would be best, I also love my Crucarta and milled copper Rex 45 so that leaves the sacrificial G-10 S45 liners... I'll def need to transfer the blade SOMEWHERE, whether it's onto the purp Ti or onto something else remains to be seen...
