Titanium Source

Hey everyone,

i am diving into folding knives and wondering where you guys buy your titanium from? I bought my first 5"x10"x.200" piece from jantz for $90 and was just wondering if there is a more cost effective option. Ive looked online but most places are offering giant sheets as in 4'x8'. I am planning on using aluminum to set up the cnc on but would like to figure out my materials cost on 25 knives.

eBay, I've bought a lot of titanium from there. Just don't be in a rush and the deals will come by. You can overpay if you aren't patient.

Look at Halpern, maybe not the cheapest, but they will cut it the way you want it.

Alpha Knife supply has some good prices and I've heard the knife maker grade is very nice quality although I don't have personal experience. I found a great deal a while back from amx (american metal exchange) they also have an ebay page that i keep losing.

never purchased from there directly, but through ebay. The prices seem to be competitive. Each sheet is listed as it comes in, so they're not going to be "the place you go" because there's not much there all the time

Dose anyone know where to get Titanium maybe in Canada? Or an area around Ontario that wont empty my pocket for shipping expenses?

titanium is really light.
Shipping is not so bad

If you just want small quantities of plate/sheet try alpha knife supply
the small pieces = small prices and they fit into cheap shipping containers / rates

Are you close to Quebec?
There seems to be more Ti suppliers there, possibly more aerospace work there.
