Titanium WilkinsGrips for Mini Grip are in stock!

At the risk of being hypocritical, because earlier in this thread I commented that the titanium Wilkins were too expensive, I ordered some. I decided to go for it based on Keyman's recommend, as well as others. I went with the gray ghost finish which looks to me like a stonewash, with the blood red spacer. I put them on my Ritter Mini-Grip this morning. I will have to say it makes the knife feel completely different. Adds some weight and fills the hand better. I do like the Mini-Grips but my one complaint was the cheapie feeling grips. I do understand they are practically indestructible, but they just feel and sound cheap. I think if BM went with a more solid grip like found in the Mini Barrage, they would feel better. Anywho - here are a couple photos of the new Wilkins. If you've been on the fence about buying these, take the plunge. They are nice.

Those are my favourite scales grey ghost titanium, they look great.

Just got some blue ti grips for my mini Ritter.
Put a BM deep carry clip on it as well.

Excellent folder.....

How is the weight compared to the other Wilkins scales you own?

I just received these Ti scales and installed them on a Mini Ritter Grip. Here's how they compare, according to my digital scale:

Wilkins Ti Mini Ritter = 4.07oz
Wilkins G10 Mini Ritter Grip = 3.03oz

So, the Ti grips weigh a full ounce more than the same configuration in G10. It's noticeable, but the weight for me is fine.

I'll try to post some photos and further impressions later.

Here are a couple crappy cell pics of mine. I reblasted the grips, clip and spacer.

Here's a shot of the new Ti Wilkins Grip scales next to a Swimming Pool Green set:

Here's mine. Definitely gives the knife more heft and a much needed solid feel. The fit is flawless and it flips and locks up as good as ever. As much as I like the thumbhole blade (mostly for the thumb ramp) I think the Ritter blade looks better in these scales. I wish I held onto my M4 Ritter mini grip now. Oh well, still looks great in my opinion.

That blacked out blade with the black hardware looks great, Moxy.

Agreed. This Ti Mini Gripenza really does have a great feel in the hand. Solid as hell. For all the improvement that the G10 WilkinsGrips give, I'd say that the titanium scales bump up the Mini Grip to yet another level.

Pulled the trigger on a flame anodized set after seeing all the pretty pictures in this thread...

Thanks y'all for the motivation! I'll try and post pics when the set arrives.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

As Uncle Si says - That's a fact Jack. It really is unreal how the Ti scales transform the knife. I really think BM is missing the boat by not at least offering a selection of these scales in various anodized colored aluminum. No comparison to the Valox. The Valox is a a good durable grip, bulletproof. So don't get me wrong there. They just always felt cheap to me even though I know better.

Would sell like hot cakes, and in bulk - the price they could offer would easily be in reason for the average guy not wanting to pop for the two bills in Ti. I'm going to see if I can get Kevin to give me a digital camo in Ti. That would rock!

Just my two pesos worth.

Joe

Finally got around to putting my grips on today!

Couldn't be happier with them, tried to get a shot that really showed off the colors of the flame anodized finish but the cell phone camera does not do them justice.
