Title was not appropriate - Gus (Bastid edited)

yeah well I was only judging by a picture......I've also said b4 that my tastes very from month to month so who knows.....you guys might swing me around.......

I wonder if Jesus had a folder or a fixed blade........one thing for sure is he didn't have a claw hammer.

This is a quote from Jesus Christ of Nazareth. It is found in Luke chapter 22, verse 36:
"But now," he said, "take your money and a traveler's bag. And if you don't have a sword, sell your clothes and buy one!"

Of course he had a knife. He was a shepherd, not a sheeple.

sorry if i offended anyone with the title :P

It didn't offend me because of the religious reference, it offended me because it has absolutely nothing, zip, zilch, nada to do with the content of your post. Just my opinion.

There's very little mention of specific edged tools and weapons in the Bible, but it _is_ full of allusions to the fact that the Israelites were moving out of their bronze age into an iron age. That's often why the Philistines had the tactical advantage: they had iron swords and armor, while most of the Israelites were still swinging stone maces.

'Course, even in the first century, do you think a poor provincial carpenter could've afforded iron tools? I understand that common people still used stone tools well into the bronze and iron ages. The Romans in Judea would've had iron tools, but would Jesus?

actually I dont think you got my joke.......a claw hammer was designed to remove nails as well as hammer them in......something that would have come in handy if you're nailed to a cross.....

I'm pretty sure He got off the cross anyway.
