Hey knife friends,

I’m looking to get my first TKell knife and am curious about people’s thoughts on them. The knife I’m looking at is the Agent 001 in 80CRV2. How’s the edge hold up, what’s the sheath like, are they worth the money, etc?

Thanks in advance

It looks nice, good choice in materials—typical modern tactical knife. I have my doubts about how comfortable it would be to use. My personal opinion is that, within its price range, the sheath looks cheap.

What steel did you choose? I noticed they switched some models from Aeb-L to Nitro V?
Mine is Aebl :)
Yes I think that was due to availability more than anything else. They sometimes do runs of s35vn, Cts xhp, even magnacut.
But I like the properties of aebl best personally

The one negative for me is jimping is quite harsh.
The handle is very narrow also but that is to make it carry unbelieveably minimally. It just hides away

Thanks for the info. I think im gonna pull the trigger and try TKell out.

Love their designs. Can you think of similar fixed blade designs from alternative makers intended more for a working mans' budget?

Spartan blades enyo in aus8a

Small little tank of a knife around $70 usd.

I have the Combatant in AEB-L and absolutely love it. Steel is not as hard as I would like but I feel that way about most knives. Edge retention is good and is easy to sharpen.

Comfort in hand is great, I handled a lot of his knives at bladeshow (2025) and all felt good in hand. Primary grind is on the thicker side but it cuts pretty well, definitely a knife that could take some abuse.

The sheath is good, not bulky, and rides almost unnoticed on my belt. I would like to get one of the ulticlip wire belt clips as I think it would be even better.

Well worth it, imo.
