Before I get into the giveaway, I just wanted to say that I owe a lot to this knife community, this sub-forum in particular. You guys/girls have been extremely supportive of my work, and although this is just a hobby for me, you have all been very generous in your praise and endorsements of my skills and reputation. It's a true honor to work on knives for you, some that are family treasures or hold great sentimental value. I thank you for your trust and friendship.

Now, I have done giveaways before, and have donated my services for others, but it occurred to me that I have never had a giveaway for one of my mods (at least, one that I made in advance). So anyway, I am going to remedy that now. Since I seem to be okay at modding TL-29's, I thought it only fitting to offer one for my giveaway.

This isn't going to be an ordinary giveaway. I am going to be giving away 3 knives total. The first will be the TL-29 mod in the pictures. The other 2 knives will be whatever I choose, probably a production knife and something else of my choosing, haven't decided yet.

This giveaway is open to EVERYONE. However, the usual stuff applies, you must be old enough to possess the knife, and it must be legal to ship the knife to wherever you are.

A simple "I'm in" is fine, but I think it would be enjoyable to add a little something to the thread, so if you want to include a picture of knives, family, pets, whatever, include a story or memory, talk about your friends, it's all good, and will give us all something to look at.

Now, to the TL-29...This is pretty much a standard mod:

Interior Ram's Horn covers
Liner lock removed
bottom (rear) NS bolsters added
EO notch
Bollocks shield pinned from the back
Simple threading on the bolsters
Reprofiled screwdriver blade into sheepfoot-type blade
(BTW, this was made from a TL-29 that was never finished from the factory, so the blade has no bevel at all cut into it. You get the fun of putting whatever angle you want on it.)

I'll let this run till sometime next week. Then I'll pick 3 winners. The first winner can choose the TL-29 mod if he/she wishes, or choose one of the other mystery knives, same for the other winners with the knives left.

Thanks for looking.

Glenn

I'm in for sure, Glenn. I really admire your work and I know that you are always willing to share your knowledge with others.

I've posted this photo before but I thought it was fitting for your thread... knives AND a pet!

Sugar is a very patient cat and puts up with a lot of ridiculousness from yours truly.

Awesome Glenn!! This isn't an entry, but I just wanted to say, that is one beautiful knife!

Gorgeous work as always! Thanks for your contributions to the forum buddy!

Glenn, not an entry, but I have to say that your work is fantastic! That is one very special GAW, good luck everyone.

This forum amazes me with the generosity of its members, and how kind spirited everyone is.

Incredible work. I'm in please. On a side note, do you do custom work and/or sell knives like this one? Please PM me if you do. Thanks again.

Anise you asked: this is May. She's out first dog (finally!), and we rescued her from the local humane society. She's great with the kids.

Holy moley! What a beauty! I'm in. Here's my crew, including my son born just last month:

Thanks--not just for inspiring us with beautiful knives--but for contributing so much to the atmosphere of this place. Those "intangibles" are so significant.
