COOPSTA WINS WITH #30

Time for a GAW, and I hope someone enjoys this knife as much as I do the Soddie I just won in cchu518's GAW.

This is my best one: it's from Camillus, the guys who I believe developed it, it still says TL-29, albeit faintly, and the screwdriver opens easily. There's a bruise or two at the butt end of the covers, where it must have been dropped, and a spot or two of rust, but it's in pretty good shape overall.

Open to anyone, post anything you want or just say you're in. If you have an opinion, tell us what you think of fancy handles on a sodbuster type knife. Are they appropriate, or do they violate the nature of a simple working knife?

This is Tuesday, I'll draw next Tuesday from entries posted by the midnight between Mon and Tues.

Your keyboard broken Jer?! ;)

Very good of you sir, but Pete (Stich) very kindly sent me a TL-29 a while back, and I wouldn't want to be greedy :)

Good luck everyone :)

Sorry, Jack, I was in and out fetching pictures. I see yours is not an entry.

I'm in. Thank you! :)

As far as fancy handles on a sodbuster, I don't have any real objection to that. I admit, the sodbuster is more of a working knife and as such a fancy handle might seem odd to some, but even a working knife can be purty and I kinda like 'em like that. ;)

Fancy handles on a soddie? Why not? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Ain't nothing wrong with pimpin' out a knife...

Oh yeah, I'm in. Thanks for the opportunity. Course, you know what I'm going to do with that if I win it, right?

In! I like tough working type materials like Delrin for Sodbusters. Though it might be considered fancy, micarta is a good material too.

I'll take a chance at this one. I've been interested in trying a TL-29 out. Thanks for the opportunity.

Not an entry, but I just wanted to say; Fantastic giveaway! Good luck everyone!

I'm in...look to the Germans and their stagbusters and tell me that fancy handles are a bad thing! I like the new Case bone shadows as well.

I'm in Thanks for the gaw! The tl brings me back to being a helper years ago (gah - I just realized I an talking about over 20 years ago - where does the time go! ?!?)

I'm in!

About the Sodbuster handles: some go fancy as far as function is concerned (G10, CF, Etc) and I think that's great. If we're talking MOP or something fragile, that's wrong and those people shouldn't win this GAW.

Not an entry - I almost have several of these knife´s pattern. I´d like to see another one making the experiences with this pattern.

Thanks for your contribution to the forum, great GA! :)

I'm in,thanks
Sodbuster should be simple, bone, wood or stag, they can be both, fancy or plain, important is that blade is good steel.
