Does the blade taper from the thickest point from the handles? It looks like it does but pics can be deceiving

The blade maintains the same thickness until about the last inch to inch and a half before the tip, where it tapers to a point.

Always wanted one of those. Very nice blade at a good price. Todd makes outstanding blades.
