i can appreciate this, i was thinking that that the optimal POB might be related to the blade length length itself. For a 24" katana blade I can see the 2-3" balance above hilt feeling better compared to a 16" waki. Maybe roughly 12% blade length above the hilt would be a sweet spot for most swords? I imagine one handed vs 2 handed might made a difference in it too

Either way im in for 2 of these guys .

The balance point on a shorter blade makes sense as well, when you take into account the mass and one handed use. This blade probably has the mass of a much larger sword, so balancing it the same makes sense. I guess it is also a personal thing. Some people like the BP further out and others further in. Can't please everyone, that's for sure.

I really want to like this sword, but 15 inches isn't that much longer than my NMFBM, and shorter than the AK47, which I already think is 2-3 inches too short.

i think it should be comfier and lighter than the ak, or even a rucki.

that said I think we will be needing a TNT 24 with a longer handle in the near future

Yeah I get that it will be lighter, but I want it longer. Otherwise it looks like half a sword

To me, it looks like a proportionally accurate shrunken sword, which i think will be pretty cool to play with while I patiently await the 24” blade / 12” handle Yardstick. Considering that he TNT-15 spent over a year in development, I’m going to put my faith in Dan & trust it was worth the wait.

All I have to compare is the V14 short sword. It sure appears to me that this will be one of those you don't fret over beating considering the difference in value and practicality.
For me, there is no single aspect to fault or say "I think it could be better if..." I'm going to enjoy beating this one.
