Anyone own a TNT and a tape measure? Was wondering what the circumference of the handle is, so I can compare with the large Basic handle.

Thanks in advance,
Will

I can't help you as I sold mine...... but the handle didn't feel big.
I wrapped mine with jute and silicone tape to Beef it up some. I wanted it thicker. Less of a edge/hotspot in my palm.

If you have medium hands you will be fine, I'm sure most people like it.

I get 3 3/4” around the middle of a large Basic handle—thickest part—so the TNT handle has a bit less…girth. I can see how it could benefit from a tape job. Since it’s symmetrically straight that should be a snap.

It’s not just about the circumference. The shape of the handles are different, so they feel different.

I think the bulbous shape of the Basic handle makes it feel slightly bigger because it locks in your grip. The texture of the Res-C handle on the TNT is by far my favorite as far as fit/finish/feel.

When mine was new....
As you can see, I believe the Regulator handle style improved with tape, too

What’s that top one?
It's called the 1311
13" long blade

I'm not a Busse fanboy. Not in the least.
But I LOVE LOVE LOVE my 1311.
It's arguably their Best knife released, and Most will admit that.....or at least put it in their top 5 or so from them.
And it was cheap, when first released.
It's almost perfect.

PS..... I'm buying the new one, whatever it's name is
I Know it will be pretty decent.

Thank you for the photo! Questions:
1) How do you like the TNT handle compared to the Regulator handle on the AR9.5?
2) Does the TNT handle feel as secure as the Regulator handle?

Others, please comment on this as well. Thanks everyone!

I like them both. The Res-C finish on the TNT is much smoother. The Regulator handle has a slightly sticky feel to it that I would consider “grippier”. It will also attract more dirt, hair, and fuzz than the TNT. The flair at the base of the Regulator does make it feel more secure for full power swings, though the TNT doesn’t feel like it’s an insecure grip. A lanyard would easily even the playing field if I felt the need for added retention, which I haven’t yet. The Proto/Basic handle is in between the Regulator and the TNT. Textured not smooth, and not as attractive to dirt, hair, and fuzz.

1) Regulator handle is better for a number of reasons. However, it's still not perfect. Years ago before I got them, I saw a post/picture here of someone critiquing it perfectly. (I can't find that post, but I'll keep looking) but basically they mentioned the regulator handle would be better if the large swooping radius underneath was different. Maybe a smaller radius? Near the guard. I fixed mine by filling it up with tubing and tape. I'll try to take a comparison between the normal regulator next to the Alpha. The normal reg feels better with less blade weight, better ballance. Even though I prefer the alpha, overall

2) No, the regulator feels more secure. They feel very different.
When the TnT came out I questioned If it was really the same material.
(They replied it's still the same material) it might have a different curing process, making it feel different, smoother, harder. Idk?
