TNT handle circumference—anyone?

Here’s a closeup of the “pommel” of a TNT-15

Is the Resiprene “guard” on the TNT more rigid or less rigid than the Regulator guard area? Or about the same?
Thanks

The tnt guard is much harder, doesn't budge at all. My parkerized regulator like the one posted above is spongy in comparison and has some give.
Key wording is "in comparison" to the tnt, the regulator Is softer.

.....but it's Not spongy!!! It's grippy, with just a tiny hint of movement.
Which could be thought of as absorbing impact
It's probably the perfect chopper handle material.

I'd take the "softer" version Any day. :)

Here's what Dan had to say

The TNT-15 handle is Resiprene-C.

The only difference is the hardness. The TNT-15 handle is identical in hardness to our only other textured handle: the "Mudder Handle".

Both of our textured handles are made with a higher hardness than our smooth handles for durability and extreme use.

The TNT-15 handle was designed for heavy use but can still be bent in half without tearing or suffering any damage whatsoever.

The TNT-15 exhibits Excellent shock absorption.

Yup he said that......

It was being said that on the tnt handle the resiprene-c wasn't what people were used to?

Before Dan said that, I didn't know that the mudder was their most durable knife SYKCO sells? Since it was done for "increased durability and hard use"

All I know is that I beat the Snot out of my 1311. It's one of the few blades I'll never sell. I'd prefer slightly different handle shape, but the materials on the 1311 are Excellent, and none better.

The tnt handle is like the mudder handles. If it's the same materials like Dan said, perhaps they have different curing processes, or something that can effect it's final feel? Idk.
But it's obviously very different than their "standard" resiprene-c handle.

It's hard and plasticity. Which works great on smaller knives. I liked the mudder it's a good blade. I sold mine, only cause I had others already being used in the role of a small/medium knife.

Thanks for bringing up what Dan said.....I know it was confusing when the TnT first came out. I was one of the Lucky ones to get it earlier, and I might of been one of the first to actually Use it, and do a review. It's here somewhere.
I think I bought mine in the first minute. I'm glad I got to try it out, but I couldn't wait to sell it. I think it looks super cool, but that's all it had going for it.

This new one..... I fell asleep, and ended up buying it around 5am.
So I probably won't get mine in the first week.

Somebody else will have to do an Honest assessment. First.
I know for a fact it will chop WAY better than the tnt.

But I'm hoping I'm wrong about how unbalanced I think it's going to feel though?

My prediction is that the 1311 stays at the top.

I would be all over the DT12 if it had a Regulator handle, but with a straight handle made from harder rubber, I'm not sure it would be easy to hang onto a blade with that much weight.

I'll let you know..... :D
