Is the TNT constructed completely of T(i) and T(alonite)? What are the screws and washers and pivot/stop pin comprised of?

Yeah, these are the questions of a coveter. Damn BF! Damn you all!!

Handles and clip are 6/4 titanium. Blades are Talonite when so marked......I have made a few with Devin Thomas damascus and 440V and 420V, screws and standoffs are 18-8 stainless (get the screws from http://www.halperntitanium.com/ ) Everything is non ferrous, non magnetic, and non rusting. I made the first few with titanium screws but at $5 a pop I couldnt handle it after the first 3.....If I had a cheaper source I would use them upon request. Thanks for your inquiry and let me know if you have any more questions...tom

Ok, my next question is as follows: when I go to hide my credit card bill after I buy a TNT from bladeart, should I

A. burn it
B. eat it
C. shoot it (.45 ACP of course)
D. drink so much Guiness that I black out and forget abou it.

Oh yeah, and what is the handle thickness on the regular rounded models?

Hey, thanks!

Can anyone put up a pic of one of these knives or lead me to a place that I can see one. Thanks

Hi Greg,

I know about this problem.

You'll better get the psotman to eat it.

That way you keep questions out of the house.

Small and medium models have .125" talonite and titanium slabs (the talonite is a bit thicker than that usually). The large and extra large have .144" ti handles and .156" talonite....I am getting some .160 from chuck bybee real soon for the XLG models. I use teflon for the washers (Left that out in the first post)

I aquired one of Tom's XLG TNT Recurves a little while ago and its one of the few custom knives that I've gotten that I didn't end up having to "customize" myself. About the only thing I did was change those teflon washers to those brown colored nylatron(?) ones since I wanted to have a slightly stiffer opening. The TNT ingredients and execution is first rate and the thing won't rust--Testimony of a sweaty person.

One thing, the blade length measurement Tom uses appears to be the total stock length not necessarially the usable length. Which isn't the same thing as the cutting edge length either. Is that correct Tom?

the two measurements I normally put on my site are OAL and Closed Length.....so whenever I put blade length its the total blade length from the front of the handle to the tip of the blade......OAL minus CL... right!?

I thought the Available knives area means knives available for sale? There is one knife and the rest flashing sold. Man I was hoping there was some available. Will check back later.

Thats what I'd normally expect from blade length measurement however on three TNT's I've had the opportunity to inspect including my own, the actual blade length (front of handle to tip of blade) have been slightly shorter than spec. No big deal really I just assumed you were measuring from the stock length.

Tom,

I hate to second guess a rocket scientist, but I think E=mc^2. mc/2 would be mass times, half the speed of light, which would be a momentum term.

Mitch,

I know that you are a college student, BUT even the most dangerous looking TNT, lying on a table, won't do much harm without momentum!

Let's leave rocket science to those who are truly qualified!!!

Thank you sir, from the headquarters of the richest valley on this planet!!! And as for momentum......well I think its best left to a 175gr .308 traveling at, well...over the speed of sound!!
