Design your dream Busse using a pre-existing model

I have been searching for the perfect Busse almost every day on this forum for the past year or two and have come to the realization that there is obviously no 1 knife that can fill that void for all uses. but in using the knives I have, I like something along the line's of a beefy utility knife. so this is what I propose as my perfect all arounder:....................................

Model: Busse small Cali BARF

Changes: No Coil
No serrations
Square off the butt eliminating the very bottom lanyard hole

Not a lot of crazy changes but for my preferences would make the best all around knife for the uses I would intend it for. I love the handle design on the Cali BARF's and the lines of the blade Pretty much the best woods/survival knife I can think of.

-Please let me know what you think of my alterations

-What can you come up with for your dream design?

-Remember this is a game have some fun with it

P.S. what is the exact overall length and blade length of the small BARF?

Mine would be based on the 3B2.
The only changes I would want is the pinky finger area to be exactly like the old SHBA and no choil.

sounds awesome! I find the pinky area of the ASH's (32B's) to be a hot spot when chopping and the no choil idea on a ASH or 32B would make more sense for me on a blade of that length

would photo shopped pics be a bad idea in this thread?

The SFNO is a close second because it is also "open" at the pinky finger. It's a tall blade though which is why I went with the 3B2. 3B2 is taller than the original SJ yet shorter than the SFNO and ASH. IMO would be the perfect one blade without that pinky busting rear.
Very good thread by Knifehunter. Scroll thru all for comparisin pictures with an old SJ and ASH. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=602381&highlight=3b2
Not sure about photo shopping..... maybe Jerry will give you his blessing.

I hear you on the blade being too tall on the ASH and SFNO it's one of the reason's I like the BARF's blade profile seems to be a little slimmer as far as the 32B goes I would pick one up in a second if it did not have the choil and would just grind off the pinky talon hole myself if I had to. also I like the more pronounced guard on the 32B, Cali BARF, ASH, SFNO, ect as opposed to the SHSJ (great knife just not enough handle for me)

Good stuff! I'm in.
Killer B, rounded pommel, Asymmetrical or Chisel grind.

"I wish the no choil option would be available on more Busse's" seems to be a general concensus

Lycosa, what about handle options for the Killer B? didn't they all come with the handle wrap? some micarta would look sweet on one of those!

Well..

We are offering that option on the Tank Buster....

and we listion to everyone's feedback that is why we have all of the options on it....

Funny to me is this...Most of the orders I have gotten has the choil...not being mean but just sayin:)

What's up Amy,

The no choil option is great on the tank buster glad to see it. by writing ""I wish the no choil option would be available on more Busse's" seems to be a general concensus" I was being specific to the posts on this thread so far.

Speaking of the tank buster pretty cool blade not too hot on the tac handles though:)

and Amy do you have a dream Busse?

Thanks everyone, keep em coming

My exact first thoughts when I read this thread! Skinny ASH1: lose the choil, fix the pinky-pincher

On my AD and GW - lose the choil and they would be perfect small EDCs.

Dont have experience with any other Busse blades to make an informed decision, or comment on the OPs concoction - but, I'm working on that :)

MoFo chopper - Uncle Mofo, with hand-shaped micarta magnums, and about an extra three inches of length. Heck, throw a nuclear meltdown treatment on that sucker while you're at it.

I'd buy several of that knife
