I think one of the differences that seperates BFC from other online forums is that a lot of the Regulars know each other personally and have met In Person. Even if we haven't met the person we're conversing with on a thread, there's a good chance that we will meet or know someone else personally that they do know. Since most of these folks are armed to the teeth you may want to watch what you say.
I look at BFC as one big semi-disfunctional family. I've lost family members here that I cried more about than some of my real family members. This isn't a Virtual Community for me, it's a real community. When a regular here like Vampire Gerbil or Jake Evans loses their wife, are sick and need help, my first thought is to pull the community together and do whatever needs to be done.
Not only do I like to see members helping members I like to see folks supporting BFC. I think it's dead wrong to not help Spark keep this place up and running. Anyone that hasn't saved or learned more than the cost of membership here probably shouldn't be calling themselves a Member.
