To all Veterans, we salute you

I was watching a very moving Memorial Day special on PBS today and decided to call a couple of friends who are Viet Nam vets and thank them for their service to our country. I knew I would become emotional and I did. I choked out my thanks as best I could. There was silence for a moment. Both men, one who is an emergency room doctor who did hazardous work for the NSA in Viet Nam, the other who works at a nuclear weapons facility, told me no one had ever thanked them for serving. What an absolute shame upon we who haven't served.
To all you vets and you who are active duty and reserve, we salute you!
 
To all those who stood in the arena, I salute you. There is a similar thread on the Strider forum entitled Memorial Day.
 
To those they gave the altimate sacrifice for this great nation, their lives, God bless them all!
 
Good morning to All...

I would like to extend thanks for all who have served as well!

Also, I would like to charge everyone to show respect for our veterans.

My grandfather recently passed-away, and with him he took a pride in himself, and his country, that a lot of today's people don't have.

In today's busy world we sometimes look upon the aging as slowing us down, but we should slow down and realize the trials/tribulations some have suffered through for us, and our country, and listen to any stories they may have...
