I would like to buy a large Sebanza. 3 1/2" is large I guess.
It must have the blade centered and lock like a bank vault.
I have a lot of knives. This is a whim.
LEO`s do not have a lot of money. I am hoping that someone will give me a break.
I will clip it to my body armor.
I don`t want fancy. something like an English dbl. shotgun with scroll engraving and borderless checkering 22lpi can serve as an example.
I need a plain edge with some belly to it.
No Tanto.
This will be for law enforcment, so nothing fancy.
I did see some nice coco bolo scales on one.
Stag would be OK.

I am ghostsix@policeone.com. I get a LEO discount right?
I know that Chris and Ann are honorable people, so there is no problem there.

I wonder if he is a cop looking for a break?

FNG,

Welcome to the CRK Forum! I worked behind a badge for 4 1/2 years so I know where you're coming from.

Keep your eyes on the Exchange Forum and you'll come up with what you're looking for. Even a well used one can be sent back for a "tune-up" and return looking like new.

Good luck and be safe!

Give me a break. Just because you are a LEO you think that you should get a discount? I come from Los Angeles. When they need some pocket change, they just shake down a couple of crack dealers. I'm sure Chris and Anne would gladly accept cash. A Long Beach Officer and his Sheriff Deputy wife live around the corner from me and they have the nicest fanciest remodeled house in the neighborhood and we're talking about $250-$300K homes. Stag handles? Where are you coming from? I think you need a Benchmade 710 with M2 steel.

Check out the gun and knife shows in your area . I bought a plain Lg Sebenza Classic for $275.oo which I consider a pretty good deal. I had to do some wheeling and dealing though.

Oh by the way Scott... Cops in other places do not make a lot of money I once worked one place for $6.88 an hour . But that was a few years ago. I also know I could not afford a 250k home . But I am happy

Gunmen an knifemen are supportive of LE.
Some offer discounts.
You won`t find out if you don`t ask.
Check out what happened to Police Mag. when they published a HCI article. The editor was fired. Street cops stopped their subscriptions and now they are trying to recover.
To give then credit, they did publish my letter to the editor before the sea change.
My last copy is one big apology with an NRA training artical in it. No HCI ad.
Glocktalk.com has the dialog in cop forum.
Cops, the Sea Services and Mil. swear an oath to support The Constitution against all enemies forign and domestic. It is plain that most take it seriously.
Cops are the best friends that you have for RKBA. You might want to ponder that before you bash us.

Were it not for my Army pension, I could not serve this Township and maintain my obligations.

There is little crime here. Maybe we are not worth more.

How did I earn my pay this week? I put on chains for a lady who was stuck on a 30% grade and took them off at the top. The unit would not pull her up. There was not enough traction.

Dry cleaning bill. We wear wool, not combat fatigues.

I pulled over a vehical with no tail lights. I carry spare fuses in the glove box. That fixed the problem. No cite, this could happen to anybody.
Some of you have gotten bad tickets. We have courts for that. Sometimes the cop did not see what you saw. He was in a different position.
If the cop doesn`t know your story, tell him. What do you have to lose if he is ready to write?
I have some offers at less than list, so this was not a bad post idea for me.
$275. seems to be the bottom line for NIB.
I`m going to use it anyway, so do not care about NIB.
I am still researching the Sebenza. Anything with this much data from users has to be worth checking out by handeling.
Hands on is worth a thousand words. How could I describe how my Wilson Tac. Elite handles? It`s a little muzzel heavy and shoots where I look. I pinned the grip safety.
Stay Safe.

Not to be silly...BUT...

to pin a grip safety and have to use that gun is gonna lay you wide open for somebodys pet lawyer... I would not risk my pension and life's work for it... I love the .45 system and understand the gamesman's way but in a working gun in this society... As far as your search... God Bless- Paul

That is a common mistake. Ayoob gets part of the blame for this.
My pull is 2 1/2 pounds. You can`t hit with a bad trigger or sights that you can not see.
When I squeeze that trigger; I meant to. Otherwise, my finger is outside of the trigger guard.
I am not going to claim AD or NG in court.
That is a sure ticket to conviction.
So, the question is moot.
I did it. I had good reason to do it, and how I did it is irrelevant in law.
I could use a LAW Rocket, a knife, whatever.
The only thing that matters is, was it a rightous OIS?
I hope that this myth can be dispelled.

Even with the speed bumps available now, the web of your hand can cam the grip safetey off with a high hold. The P-35 does not have one. They serve no purpose.

The point was not that you would admit to anything other than intent to stop the action of a wrong doer in a rightious situation, this is the real world and being justified in your actions does not guarentee immunity from the civil charges nor does the fact that other weopons don't have a grip safety have bearing to a lawyer lookin for a fee...I would even bet that your superiors and the town representative WILL/WOULD leave you to fend for yourself. as far as the situation being a "myth" may you never have to find out! You seem versed enough to make your own decisions but there are those around here that do not know and may make the wrong choice for themselves without really finding out what is right for them. (after all the friendly policeman said it was OK) and by the way a "wad gun" trigger job would not lend itself to lawyer proofing your choice either

And I'm trying to think here for a moment.......what do the last 2 posts have to do with a Sebenza?

Where are we headed with this?

The DA and the Sheriff are my legal superiors under state law. The state Atty. Gen. can arrest us all.

I am CEO subject to the pleasure of the town council here.

I read the ct. decisions. I know of no case where a modified weapon made a difference;
other than a defense of negligence, which won`t fly too far. It can be mitigating.

If you shoot on purpose, it does not matter.
The ammo nonsense falls into the same catagory here.

I can`t speak for other jurisdictions.

If you make a mistake, you own it.

Cite me one and I`ll read it.

You are right Mike. Stuff happens.

I think that the forumites are not so ridged that a frolic can not be accepeted.

It`s all in fun.
