To Carry or Not to Carry?

Buy it and beat it! That's why I like INFI!
Many of the Busse's values are going up, but I use all(4) of mine. I just figure I got them cheap :)

Once in a while I'll get 2, but not of the real expensive ones, for the obvious reason. Other than that, usually the first thing I do is thin the grind out on my diamond stone, water stone, or edgepro, so there goes the value - right out the window. Then I use it.

I used a SnG last night to pry a trunk release. Sitting in a safe is a waste of a tool that's meant to be used. Unless you buy knives as art or investment.

Maybe you just need to put on a few more years. When you get about my age, you will finally realize the phase "you can't take it with you" to be so very true. The thing that makes knives worth collecting is that they are tools. They can do work and do it well. If you don't use them it's like being King Midas (I think it's the right fable). He just sat around and looked at all his money and never bought anything with it. He even turned his daughter to gold. Makes no sense. Put a couple away for your kids, or whatever, then use the rest. Have some fun before you can't anymore. Death can be hiding around any corner.

It is so interesting what you said bladeprince about putting "a couple away for your kids". I just purchased a killer graphic Sebenza which my understanding is one of a kind. I made up my mind that I would make that a keeper for my daughter for when she finishes college which is a long time from now. In the meantime I will get her acclimated with this hobby and how to appreciate it. I hope that when the time is right, she will appreciate the beauty and practicability of this future gift.

You couldn't be more right. I've been to too many funerals celebrating the lives of teenagers. People are actually jealous of how much I enjoy each day. Some see it as irresponsible, others like living like a rock star. Didn't used to be like this, and I'm not saying live like you WILL die tonight, but like you COULD. A great friend of mine always says: "better to live one day as a lion than a hundred years as a sheep".
