Dude, thank you for such an awesome knife! Everyday I love it more and more... everytime I sharpen it, I get more acquainted with the curves, the steel, the way it feels in the hand... It is my main EDC, and has not left my side in 6 months... I love this knife. More than a man should love a tool I guess, but who cares!! I love the pivot design... I love how I can customize the tension and lock it in with loktite!

Every feature of this knife is just perfect. I just wanted to express my pure appreciation for such an awesome design!

As soon as S35VN is available, im sending it in for a reblade...! Not that there is a problem with the current steel, but more for a psychological satisfaction.

I don't know if this was intended, but when the lock bar is closed, its like there is a subtle sub-hilt in the contours of the lock and face scale.. its awesome! (if you guys look at it from the side when open you'll see what I mean)

Geez, what else do I love about this knife? Oh, the swedge! It makes a great heavy duty utility edge... wonderful for opening boxes, and breaking down cardboard without dulling my blade. The tip is just perfect.

So yeah, I appreciate this knife, and the time and thought you put into its design.

If your thinking about getting an umnumzaan, do it. You will NOT be sorry you did.

Ok, im done...

:)

Umnum, Umnum, Umnumzaan, go cut, go cut man oh man. Doesn't really rhyme but you get the meaning, I really like my Umnumzaan's a lot. Have three of them :). Good Luck...

Just an wonderful knife, my First CR, started my addiction, wish there were more variations though.

Man am I getting old.
Please respect your elders, and start off with Mr. Reeve(or Chris) instead of "Dude":p

I did get a good chuckle out of it though:D

Thanks for the great pics, and your right, it is a great knife:thumbup:
edit- whoops, the great pics are zippo's. Thanks zippo.

The title Dude is reserved for those to whom I respect and admire... :p

But Mr. Reeve, if such a title offends you, please re-read with Mr. Reeve as the introductory pro-noun.

And it was taken with a camera phone. Imagine if you still had your.........nevermind

Umnumzaan has been my favorite blade for the past year. but once i got the umnum, i had to get me a sebbie.....love them both and love Chris Reeve's Knives

As time goes on, I love this knife more and more... its been a couple months since I made this post, and I just cant stop loving this thing... You know how when you get a new knife there is that honeymoon phase where it just seems to glow? Well, with the umnumzaan, its like one long perpetual honeymoon phase.

I cant say enough good things about this knife. Not sure why this is happening, but I have been using it lots lately, and I haven't had to sharpen it for over 2 months!! When I first got it, I had to sharpen it after every week of use... anyone else notice this? I have had to completely re-grind the edge a couple times now (again, heavy user) but it looks as good now as the day I bought it (albeit with more character). Last time I reground it was back in the middle of August, and I stropped it all the way to plain leather, and all Ive done since then is about 10 strokes on green BRK compound about a month ago, and it is still super sharp. I am really beginning to appreciate the quality of this steel. It is unreal!

Not sure what provoked such an over-expression of joy, I just have it by my side, and was admiring the curves and contours and went looking for this thread.

Again, thank you Mr. Reeve for such an awesome knife!

Cheers!
:D:thumbup:
