To clean a watch...

That said, my 7S26 based Seiko diver is just about the most robust mechanical watch I have encountered. The movement is ugly, there is plastic spacer rings in the case, but I have had that watch accidentally go through the washing machine and dryer and it still ran like a champ. i disassembled it after this fiasco, and the only thing it really needed was a regulation and a new gasket (old back gasket was still ok, but it got really dry)

My local jeweler went to school in Switzerland for Rolex and Breitling. He loves to work on Rolex because the movement is relatively simple. My Sea Dweller uses the 3135 movement, one of his favorites.
