This gun shoots great after I mirror polished all the inside parts. :D

And a BIG THANKS! to all for the great comments.

Hey todd.
Ya ever play around with a wood rasp on steel ?
I did the top of a Colt NM slide at 45 degree angles many years ago.
Pretty cool the way it came out.
It got hard chromed and went on a blue frame..
Nice work on the Ruger.. Looks killer... :)

Hahah ! It did take nerve.. It was a N.I.B mid sixties National Match Slide !
I practiced on some scrap first ! :)

Nah.. No pics. That was about 4 Hurricanes back so all of my stuff I did at my place, and for Colt, I have no photos of

Grab a piece of one inch iron pipe, hit it on the sander a bit ( 320) and giv'er a try !
I did the 45's front strap the same way.
Obviously the "raspiness ? " needs to be toned down a bit after its done as it can be quite sharp ! LOL.. A good heavy wire wheel does just fine.

Thanks Gringogunsmith,
I don't know if I will try that?
I filed a lot of guns, but lately I have not done that many.
They are not that easy to do. You know what I mean?
And for my signiture, I better stick with knife maker.
I'm busy tring to keep up just making knives.
Thanks

I really like that knife. Very elegant work (especially the file work inside.)

I also like the design in that the corner of the tang is covered by the bolster when folded.

Well thought out work with that touch of elegance.

Thanks! Bastid,
This knife here for being one of my more plain looking, or should I say maybe being a traditional looking knife? It turned out really well. You know what I
mean? Fit and finish, Walk and Talk, etc..... Well after a guy puts all that
time in to some thing, and it turns out really good. Or even pretty good.
Thats what it's about. I make a lot of knives. And most of them turn out
really nice, because I've made them so long. But every now and then,
here and there, you make one that just ROCKS! and to me ''THATS WHAT IT"S REALLY ABOUT, REALLY HOT KNIVES'':D
Thanks for the great comments Bastid, and all you other knife nuts.
Stay Sharp
