Just Received my parks50 yesterday😁😁😁 super excited!!!

Now I've did some searching and came up with some different answers but most of them were from quite a few years ago. Is it ok to quench in 50 as long as the temp is between the 50-120 degrees, they say on the spec sheet I got with my order it works the best between these temps. Or should I go ahead and heat it? Thanks.

P.S. can wait to use this stuff.

We all used to warm our parks #50, but the current product seems to work quite well at room temp. If it is cold in the shop, I would warm to 100F, but otherwise, just use it at ambient.
I worry more about multiple blades warming the oil above 120F.

Great! Thanks for the info. Can't wait to use this stuff, been using motor oil for a while now. Finally bit the bullet and got some good stuff.

I generally make sure it's above 70F. If it's cold, I shoot for 90-100F as Stacy suggested.

When living in Illinois during an extended 100+ degree heat wave, I checked my #50 tank one day and the oil was over 90 degrees.
I figure you need to heat your oil up at least as high as it can get on its own just sitting in the shop.
For that reason, I warm mine up to about 95 degrees year-'round.
That way it's always the same.

I just ran down to the local farm supply store and purchased a 5 gallon bucket heater. It will heat it up to 100 degrees and not let it fall below 85 degrees. Tomorrows my day off so you know what I'll be doing.😋

Also bought two thermometers to stick in the parks to get a more accurate reading.
