Ok guys and gals,

So I ordered three cgfbm’s and gave one to my friend and fellow artist David Bradshaw, who is famous for using explosives to create sculptures and firearms to create art work….. Needless to say he was impressed with the fbm from the get go…. Liked the fact that it was elegant but still a tool, that simplicity was its basic element of design …. So I left it with him in the wilds of Vermont near the Canadian border, and told him this….’do not be afraid to use this knife for anything you can think of, just try to break it’…..

Last night I get a call from him, he had gone out hunting, shot a large bull moose and used the fbm to dismember the beast, estimated weight of 700 lbs….. then as an after thought he placed one of the legs on a stump and took a hefty swing at the femur bone, he said he did this expecting the bone to be crushed and the knife edge to be rolled, to his surprise, the bone was CUT straight through and the edge was still razor sharp…..

So as you can guess my next question was ‘so did you take pictures?’ and he replied ‘why would I have taken pictures of me cutting up a moose? Needless to say he doesn’t use the internet….lol

That sounds awesome! Unfortunatly that he hasn't took any pics.

Also a really nice gesture from you to give the FBM to your friend:thumbup:

Outstanding!

See, this is why I own Busse (among design features, beauty, warranty, and pride of ownership, etc.)... INFI is one tough steel! Intentional or accidental contact with bone? No problem..!

.

HE SAID THE MOST IMPRESSIVE PART OF THE WHOLE THING WAS THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE BLADE, AND THE BONE WAS CUT... HE KEPT SAING THA....cut CHRIS,,,, IT WAS CUT.... LIKE A SAW...

Just an FYI and not trying to rain on your parade.

I don't think that it's Moose season in VT and saying that someone killed a Moose out of season on an open forum could create a problem for your friend.

Now where the heck are the pics???????

Glad to hear it was legit.
Now call him back and tell him to save some for the PA get together. :D
Moose, it's what's for dinner.

does that mean you would come down for it if we have some moose meat?

Guess it all depends on when and how the new house is comming along.
I thought about attending "Blade '07" but being a piglet still I probably better wait another year. :D

Hey guys, take this with a grain of salt (because I learned this on the internet).
If you take game apart with your busse, try to not use the edge if you are going to hack or break the hip bone. Hip bones tend to be much denser than limbs, ribs, etc. Ive seen a black tail hip chip a cold steel tanto in real life, and remember a post of dented INFI around here or at busse. Not tryin to be a downer, just preserve some INFI. I do wish there was a video of that limbing!

Vermont has a problem with feral Moose, (not that I really know, just go along with me here) just like here in Florida we have feral hogs (aka wild hogs, different variety than those found on this forum). A feral hog can be taken anytime with just about any method.

Therefore, I deduce, the Moose taken in Vermont was taken under the same circumstances.
