tony g- you scored! cgfbm+kydex!!! i was heading there to snag it and then saw you beat me! super good price! no one wanted it for a while and as of today fbm's can't be found. only the le's remain! good luck to all trying to snag even more fbm's. after those videos, there will be choke guy's looking to score. let's drink!

I have been talking with the seller for a week about that knife. When he dropped the price again I just had to take it. I do LOVE the CGFBM, more than any other FBM it may be getting close to this one. In fact some day I may even take five CGFBMs in trade :foot:

Busse does that to prevent the market from getting flooded with a bunch of Busses, and then having the price take a BIG dump.

Not really. The demand simply outstrips the production. It is not some vast conspiracy to control the secondary market. They are not a huge manufacture selling knives at store chains. They are a fairly small shop that sells every blade they make and then has people complaining when they are gone.

The current system is excellent. If the change had not been made, there would be a Randall-esque wait time for blades. Forget that.

Too true RF, gerberblades has voiced a common misconception. Truth is Jerry couldn't make them fast enough before and he sure won't be able to now that Noss has screwed the pooch for all of us. :D

To Blood_grooves, don't fret the ones you can't have now, just keep them on your "to acquire" list for the future. Just imagine the cool stuff that Jerry hasn't even though of yet that will be available when you have graduated. :eek:
 
You all keep forgetting to mention the shows and the ganza's don't get enough credit.

Jerry's post of 'Knob Creek will have 126 Busse Combat models.....'

Just when MeaneRs and AD's were worth their weight in gold, there was the EDC ganza. The older models still get a premium, but now there's a glut of them languishing at the X and in that pay place.

Hell Razors where selling for 500, then we had the Razor ganza, HR's for everyone. I was able to score a DC SHBM custom (looks like Tony's above) a few ganza's ago for about half of what an original would sell for on the X. It wasn't an original, but you might not use an original, and if you do you shortly won't know the difference.

I know I'm giving away secrets here, but it's all about patience. I wanted a SHBM, but wasn't willing to pay the premium for one on the secondary market. Then bingo, one fell into my cloven hoof for a great price.

If you want instant gratification, you'll pay the premium, I have. But if you set you sights on a blade and keep a keen eye out, you'll get it if your suppose to have it. Sometimes it just takes a few years :(

LOL, funny and too bad some people just think I am "scam selling" when I explain to them at shows that the blades they see are discontinued, and if they want/like a model/version, better buy it now...

Yeh, nossh4 has really opened a few peoples eyes hopefully....:thumbup:

If your opening pitch wasn't something akin to "hey little boy, you want some candy" you might not scare so man guys off. :D
 
I am happy with the way things are....it gives me something to strive for. I also know that if I want something....I better act fast.
