I love the way it looks and In all honesty want to tote one around just because. But how functional/durable is it really?
I've seen a video of someone hacking a small tree in half with the Waki, but is the Rucki just as tough?

I DO want to use it, would it be reliable to bring this in the woods with me and have my only other knife be my leatherman wave and maybe my Ka-Bar BK2 for camping/hunting/cuttingshitupbecauseitsawesomeandIcan ?

If the answer is yes(or no)... What colors should I get and lets see some pics if you guys have of nice color combos!

Yes, the rucki will be just as tough. They are super sweet in hand!

It is tough as nails! Actually it would cut nails!

Will chop like crazy!
In fact you can save yourself the burden of carrying a knife the size of BK2. BK11 or 14, Swamp Warden or another knife this size for the fine work (of converting the chips left from the treesyou chopped down with the Ruck) into toothpicks and you'll be fine.:D

awesome stuff... now I'm excited!
SOOOOOO what colors? I had a few ideas in mind but I can't decide, let me know if you guys have any thoughts or other ideas.

- White Blade w/ Orange & Black G10
- Black Blade w/ Orange and Black G10
- White Blade w/ Black G10
- Black Blade w/ Black G10

DAMN THE CHOICES!

I love mine, i'm gonna pick up one more for myself and a custom one for Suzy. The best value for the price, ever, imo.

The Rodent Rucki's are definitely uber cool and durable, but where I find them lacking is in the practicality department. I'd recommend finding a 1311 over the Rucki, unless zombie defense is more of a priority for you......:)

Do you use the 1311 a lot?

I haven't been able to get out to use mine yet, this winter was brutal here in CO. I'm hoping to get to use it within the next couple weeks if I can swing it, though.

Here's a link to a thread at the Scrap Yard forum, the OP has used his on several occasions already and documented it with a plethora of pics. The balance of the 1311 is great for chopping, just look at the chunks he was able to produce when chopping a downed log......
