To soak or not to soak 1095

Thanks fellas. I emailed Maxim and it will cost ~$150 for the #50 and shipping. I'm going to order it. I will not use the 1075 that I bought from Jantz, the manganese is .6%. I read Blue Fin's post today, should have gone with Aldo's 1075 (.35% Mn) and am kicking myself. Aldo's 1075 is out of stock so I'll have to wait. One thing I'm finding is, it's not easy to find steel in the type/dimensions you want. Also, where can you get Satanite in the powder form? Rutlands was my second choice but I may have to use it.
