To find a recent post by someone:
Left Click on their username.
Left Click "View Forum Posts".

That will open a drop down of all their posts in chronological order. just scroll through it until you see the post you wanted to find. On people who post a lot, it may take several pages to find it, but for most folks it will be on the first page or two if it was a recent post.
