To the fellow Emerson owners today

I've been an official, "knife nut" for gosh who knows... and I've carried everything quality at some point or another. But now, I won't carry anything besides an Ernie. If I tried, I'd probably break out in a cold sweat..

Besides an Ernie, I always have a Alan Folts made minimalist in a spear point configuration for poops and giggles. Doesn't scare the sheeple so much as a waved CQC-15 with partial serrations in black TiNi..

fwiw, The HD7's did not sell as well as I thought they would when they first came out. 2 reasons, I think. Ernest waited too long to come out with an RIL, aka framelock, and the price was way too high.

That is a bit too high.. He should really rethink his prices, I love my Emerson's but each of the 3 had to/ have to go back for repair. And the oldest one is one month. The other 2 are days old. Idk

I had an HD7 with half G10, that I got new for $360. That was a good price, imo.
 
I got my first emerson last Saturday (mini commander) and initially I was not impressed. After taking it apart and cleaning it I like it a lot. It has become my edc knife now.

The mini commander is a great knife! I have one and love it!

What is it about it that bothers you?.. I am sure we can help. Emersons need a cleaning and we can help with any advice like adjustment issues.. The end result is you will know your knife better and appreciate it more.

When I got it it was just stiff to open & gritty feeling, but it's great now it's right in my pocket. Thank you though I appreciate it.
