To those more experienced than I:

I agree with Will --- the ASHBM chops almost as well as the NMFBM, handles like a smaller blade, and has one of the most iconic Busse blade designs. That being said, the FBM, FFBM, NMFBM, Basic 11, Basic 10, NMFSH, BM e, and Original SHBM are all capable of anything and everything you could ever need. For the price and with the freedom to customize it the way you want -- nothing beats the ASHBM at the moment. Either way -- you'll pick something that will outclass nearly any and all other knives

 
If I had to only do one it would be the NMFBM .25 thick.

You can't go wrong but if I was only getting one it would have to be a Mistress.

If you don't like the fusion handle then ASHBM might be the ticket though.

Thanks for the input everyone. I have my eye on a "ERGO" Battle Mistress. It just depends on how much of my money Uncle Sam decides to let me have back.

On that note, if I married last fiscal year and also had a child, will I get more or less back? Also, should I claim my wife as a Dependant, or let her file herself?
 
If that BMe you are looking at is the one I have been looking at, its a good deal. Don't worry 'bout me though, I already spent my Bussekin allowance for the week...;-)
 
#1 NMFBM- better have the back to carry it though. I love mine and if I had to keep one Busse it will be it.
#2 FBM, I have the CBT version and love it.

NMFBM is just a chopping monster even thought is so massive it does work for you so it is not so bad in regards to endurance during work with it.

Skunk hasnt been around in a couple a years now. Things change, a lot of the old crew drifted away.
