To Use or Not to Use.

Think of a knife as a beautiful woman, would you just look, or would you...okay, maybe that's not a good analogy

Okay, good point!

Yep -- the only way you'll truly appreciate it is if your use it, and use it often, and disassemble, clean, and lube it a few times. But if you're like me, and you have to have one minty fresh in the safe, then the only solution is to get another one -- that way you'll have one for the safe and one for the pocket. That's how I roll. . . .

I'm already way ahead of you. lol Thinking I'll pick up another as a queen.

I had the same problem with an Umnumzaan. I carried it to work this week and used the hell out of it. It's now got a couple minor character marks, and I will continue to use it. I also use my XM-18, and my other knives just the same. No problems here.

I'm with the rest, use it. The wood inlaid models are beautiful knives in my opinion. One thing about it, you can always send it back to CRK to have it refurbished. Can't remember the cost, but I don't think it is much. If you want a safe queen, look for one of the LE wood inlaid Year knives.:)

Got to use it. Its not a piece of "no-touch" art. IMO..If you cant afford to use it, then you cant afford to buy it. I understand your reservations but, its just a knife and CRK are ment to be used just like your Strider. I just bought a DDC Stider for edc and field dressing deer with. Kinda seems wrong not to get blood on a $800.00 knife:D

I don't get spending that much money on something and not getting every penny's worth out of it. Use the thing!

It's only $400 man. So you're saying you'd spend $800 on a set of car tires and not drive it? I know $400 is expensive for a knife, but relative to other things in your life (house, car, etc.) it's actually very cheap.

So use it!

Chris Reeve wants you to use it.

And from experience, the fun you will have using it, will far outweigh any appreciation in value that particular model will ever gain.
