and it seems that those problems that occur at higher ages are more expensive to solve than those that the smokers have about 5-10 years earlier. can you see where i'm getting at ?>>>>>>richardallen

Agreed. Quality tobacco doesn't stink or make my nose burn like cigarettes do.
 
Munk - yes. Apart from the fact that you'd be paying for it either way, since there are so many taxes on tobacco.

When smokers are questioned here, sometimes (if they're smart and cynic) they will tell you they smoke to finance our countries' military. go figure...

forgot to add something - "to solve those problems....(see my earliere post)" was probably not the right word. what I wanted to say is that since we're eventually all dying, smokers bite the dust earlier and easier, hence not so much money is involved while trying to keep them alive.
 
Tobacco, the bane of non-ndns and ndns alike these days.:grumpy: :( I smoked, dipped, and chewed, for 33+ years. I quit for 4 years and then thought I could handle it, I couldn't and smoked for 2 more years. Finally and thankfully I had had enough and I just plain got tired of smoking and quit for good.
Every now and then I could slap someone and take their smoke away from them for myself but the urge passes quickly and then doesn't appear for a long time again.
The Tobacco that's smoked in ceremony isn't all Tobacco. There are several botanicals mixed in it like the White Sage, Aromatic Cedar, Mullien, Bearberry, Horse or Monarda Mint, and others. Usually there is a mixture of seven plants counting the Tobacco.
Tobacco is a lot less addictive when it has been re-made.:D
