We picked up Toby from the pound a few weeks ago. The pound says he was a stray but man he's good. Does not go in the house, walks great on a leash etc etc. Love em. But for the life of me I can't tell what he is??? So here are some pics and let me know what breed you think he is, or what he's mixed with? He's less the 24 inches tall and weighs about 40lbs. full grown.

Pit/Lab cross????
If it is, that would be the best of both worlds.
Very loyal and would kill and eat anybody that came close! :)

Good looking dog. I'd say pit/lab, or pit with another type of terrier maybe.

Looks to be a mix with some Terrier (aka Pit Bull or Amer Staffordshire) - short coat, broad head with strong jaw muscles - the markings make me lean toward the Jack Russell end but the overall head shot make me lean toward the Pit Bull end.

Looks to be very nice and if he is extremely tolerant of the baby and doesn't pee or pooh in the house I'd say he is a winner!

I would say that he is a Pit -Lab as well. Thats what he looks like.
By the way..hes a mutt. Thats not an issue, as all my best dogs have been mutts..I usually became pretty proud of the title mutt...they are usually pretty smart.

That's a pit. I don't really see any lab in him.

BTW, pits are typically not human aggressive.

That is a real nice looking dog!

Pitbull / Lab, maybe. But that guy is very small for either breed.

Maybe pit bull / chihuahua??? :D

Either way, he sure is a handsome guy. And mixed-breed dogs seem to make the best pets.

They can do a blood test and tell you for sure what the breed make up is for about $60-$75 if it is driving you nuts. He sure looks to have a strong pit bull influence in there.

Whatever he is, he's a good looking guy.

My Pit is about a year and a half and she's just about the best dog I've ever seen. So good with the kids, great with my other dogs and super loyal to me.

Is that a cat i see in the backgroud? He doesn't even chase the cat and he is good with the baby. That dog is definetly a keeper.

lmao! :d

What a cool-looking dog! It looks like a pit / lab mix to me as well.

But, in the interests of perpetuating urban legends, I feel that I should at least mention the possibility that it might be a Mexican sewer rat. :p

Enjoy the new pup!

All the best,

- Mike

I'd say pit/??--and a great companion for you and your family.Nice looking pup.

I'd say pit/lab in anycase you made a great choice,he will be super loyal to the family.

Except for the boloring , he looks loike my dog in weight , height and build. My dogs colors are a deper brown and a blackish brown.

He's a boxer / lab mix. Most people say no because of the snout but , thatsw what he is.

I believe that is what you dog is also.
