John,
I found on HI store page that Short Tibetan Sword (31.5 inches) weights about 42 ounces

low quality pics of my HI swords...

tomek

tomek, your photo's are some of the best I have seen as they give a reference as to the grip construction and thickness and well as comparative lengths very well.

The photo's of the blades, especially of the Short Tibetan, show that it is a single edge blade which dotd pictures have not done, as evidenced by John's question as to whether they were double edged ... and by the way, I was uncertain as well, until I saw your photo's!

Thanks,

bruce

ps. Would you be able to measure the length and circumference of the grip on the Manjushree sword please?

I measured the handle like you asked:
Circumference of the grip on the Manjushree sword ~3 3/4"

the length~ 6 3/4" from the guard to the cup and from guard to the tip of cup~7 1/4"

I measured the handle like you asked:

szabla, I am in your debt as these measurements answer questions concerning/worrying me after recent swords I have purchased had grips way too large for my smaller hand.

Now if it is meant to be, a Manjushree sword for me. :)

The taper on the Short Tibetan reminds me of that on the Bhutan sword, I think that Abaniko's photo

Exactly what I was thinking! You could almost get away with calling it a "long Bhutan".

My long Tibetan has what almost resembles a shallow clip point:
