So I've been a knife nut for as long as I can remember. Recently I've kind of been in a weird place with my collection and this hobby in general where i just haven't been really interested in a whole lot. One knife I have always lusted over was a plain Sebenza but I never thought I would spend the money. Well today a small drop point Magnacut popped up and I decided to jump on it. Hopefully I'll love it as much as everyone else seems to!

Enjoy your first CRK and the renewed interest in knives it will bring. As others said, the only way to truly appreciate a CRK is to do with it what it was designed to do….use the hell out of it!

Some might think I'm crazy for carrying my more expensive ($400+) but at the end of the day a knife is a tool and is meant to be used. I'm carrying my most expensive knife today, a custom Alan Davis, and despite having it less than a day, it's already cut some stuff.

Aebenza is a comforting, simple knife made to be used. I just have difficulty opening them one handed so I didn't keep the one I had.

I was always skeptical and I did own a few years ago as investments never had a user. I revisited them a short time ago when a super deal popped up. I'm actually liking mine a lot, I have the small inkosi tanto in s35vn, was wanting a magna and may still pick one up. As a daily carry it seemed a bit small but now I wouldn't trade it for a large. Enjoy

Look, I know how it is. When I bought my first Sebenza, I eventually sold it again because I felt guilty about spending this much money on a knife. Never once carried it. It took me a few more years until I was ready to get a second one & actually use it.

I think its an experience we all make to some extend. Theres is nothing wrong with buying some knives solely for the collection, but the Sebenza is a knife that really wants to be put to use. Just see it as getting your money's worth.

Knives should be used, it’s part of the experience. To see and to hold are fine, but it’s not until you use it, do you fully understand the knife and the maker.

CRK’s are great users. Once you swallow the fact that scratches are ok, it will make an outstanding EDC.
I think the pictures of used sebenzas is what has drawn me to them for so long.

Just what I’m looking for too! Congrats. Now use it and don’t keep it in a drawer:)
I have no intention to keep it locked up. I have used every knife so far!

They make excellent users. Everything you need, nothing you don’t.
I love seeing a knife like this! It's inspiring!

Very nice! My first "big" purchase (a knife over $200) was a large Inkosi, immediately upon receipt I understood the hype.

Please make sure you update the thread once your next CRK arrives - it is inevitable.

Obligatory well used pics -

Man that has seen some use!

Hopefully my updates for the next year are about it being the only knife I carry any more!

Keeps on ticking too. If you are so inclined, and want to try your hand at it; check out the one year challenge.
