Today I did a thing... New knife incoming!

Keeps on ticking too. If you are so inclined, and want to try your hand at it; check out the one year challenge.

It would be awesome to do! I have heard it takes a while for it to click with some people.

Most people either like/love them or they don’t.
For what they are, I‘ve had good experiences with mine.
I really hope I'm in the love camp.

True that.
They are good quality knives.

Held 2 in my hand only. Hated the Sebenza and loved the Umnumzaan.

Either way, they arr way too expensive for me, and I prefer my Recon1 anyways (feel, lock, ergonomics and so on).

Congrats man!! You're going to love it. I bought one on a whim after being in the "hater club" for a long time. As soon as I got it I knew there was something special about it. Next thing you know they're pretty much all I carry and use. Freaking awesome knives. As others said, wait until you take one apart, clean it, and re assemble it. Incredible how simple something so versatile can be. Dcdavis Dcdavis Was my inspiration to use mine. Once you start you cant stop!!

Congratulations! Be aware though, if at first you feel a little underwhelmed, give it a little time. I actually bought and sold several in the beginning because they didn't open quite like I was used to with previous knives. Especially with newer one's that hadn't been broken in, some proved to actually be a bit difficult to open, but given time, you'll probably end up very impressed and it won't be your last CRK. I actually have more knives made in Idaho than the rest of my knives combined. They are indeed quality tools and pieces of art at the same time.

Thanks for the heads up! I've actually heard that a couple of times so I'm expecting it to take a little while to really click. I'm trying to leave room to be impressed haha

So I've been a knife nut for as long as I can remember. Recently I've kind of been in a weird place with my collection and this hobby in general where i just haven't been really interested in a whole lot. One knife I have always lusted over was a plain Sebenza but I never thought I would spend the money. Well today a small drop point Magnacut popped up and I decided to jump on it. Hopefully I'll love it as much as everyone else seems to!

Did you get your knife yet!?!? Let's hear about it!

That's the joy and curse of collecting. Waiting vs. Anticipation
For sure! I didn't anticipate buying this knife but when it became available I had to jump on it. At least it was not next month when I will be traveling even longer. That would have been torture.

Its hard to just own one. Your bank account is probably gonna take some hits in the near future. 🤣

Well... Here it is!

Here are my initial impressions. The knife is beautiful and just as I expected. The action and far easier and smoother then I expected. I could flick it open right out of box. I thought there would be more of a break-in period. The thumb stud also is not bad at all. It also makes a great sound on pen and close.

On the not great side I already removed the lanyard they aren't for me and the blade seems a little off center but I can't tell if that's me or me just looking for something.

Overall I'm really excited to have this knife and can't wait to really put some use on it.

I started with a plain small Sebenza many years ago. Now I've graduated to the Mnandi.

That is quite the collection! There was a member here who's grail was the Damascus carbon fiber version.

What's your favorite and what made you go with the Mnandi?

Congrats. I hope you enjoy it.

Put up a post when you start shopping for the next one. 😉
Thank you!

I am planning on giving this one a good long run so hopefully it's a while before that happens!
