Hello,
Today, I lost a good friend. I was on a hike and showing some friends how
to "fiddle up worms". The only saw I had was on my Vic. Farmer. The fiddling worked pretty good, but when I got home, I realized that I lost my Vic
Farmer :grumpy::( He was always there for me, through thick and thin. Always there when I need him. On a better note, I had ordered two of the red Vic Farmers from amazon a while back (1 for the collection, and one to retire my lost friend). So now ill carry the red one. I just wish that someone would find my old buddy and give him a good home. Keep him sharp and lubricated.

RIP Vic Farmer,

Damn.
"I feel your pain" as one less than stellar president said once upon a time.
And I do, indeed empithize as I just lost my CRKT K.I.S.S. just the other day.
Not the greatest knife, but it will be missed.

I hope no one says, 'that's what happens when you fiddle around'.

Sincerely sorry for your loss.

My first multi-tool was one that i found. It's the circle of steel, and it moves us all.

What's worse? How about a slow drain resulting in having your septic tank dug up and pumped - to no avail - the line from the house to the tank had a stoppage. A motorized snake was run out the cleanout plug (inside my laundry room in the basement - yuck, what a mess!). Some rattling was heard - then freedom of motion. His helper said he saw something 'hard' and 'kinda red' - but the suction tube from their honey wagon's tube slurped it right up. My second oldest Vic SAK, a Deluxe Tinker, had been missing for a couple of years - ever since I had put it on the lavatory just prior to my daughter-in-law using said can to change my oldest grandmonster's diapers.

I assumed, after the garbage ran of course, that it had been knocked into the garbage. I also just wasn't sure that it wouldn't pop up in my office - or under my bench - one day. That honey wagon visit presented a more likely scenario of it's ignoble demise... and all for just $600. It probably took a few flushes. Your Farmer has a chance - let's wish it a good second home... gotta be better than swimming with the toilet fish! Of course, I finally bought a new replacement... still in the box.

Sounds like it didn't want to be retired and jumped ship instead. Got to admire gumption like that.:D

Only "real" knife I ever lost was a Vic. I feel your pain, still pissed about my Vic tho...

I have lost a couple of knives (one buck folder I dropped so many times, people kept giving it back to me......I hated that knife....probably why I always "lost" it). Dropped one I liked once at a work function where everyone knew me.....it was never returned.

I would rather loose a knife than have one stolen from me. I have had two different knives stolen from me. Still makes me pissed.

The difference between losing something and having something stolen is that if you lose something you can shrug it off as "that was a stupid move", but if you have something stolen you feel wronged and helpless. It sucks to lose anything you trust day in and day out.

I have a Red Vic farmer. That is one great knife. I nearly lost mine about eight months ago at the airport. I had it in my briefcase and forgot to take it out before flying. They let me send it to myself, and when my wife saw a small package to myself, from myself, she smiled and knew exactly what had happened.

I might have let that one go if I had not bought it in Switzerland.

I just lost my Spyderco Merlin:grumpy: But I'd much rather loose one than have it stolen.

I used to take pride in the fact that I hadn't lost a knife in 15 years. But, Pride comes before the fall. Last spring I lost a $200 Spyderco Kopa with Gold Lip pearl handle. That hurt. Yes, we feel your pain.
