It might have been a controlled burn, they do that periodically, even in urban forest preserves.

I'm curious as to how a burning stump was able to post on BladeForums, or how a burning stump has a dog.

Also, a sheath works better than jabbing the knife into your side to carry it, but I am thinking for humans, and not burning stumps. YMMV.

Lol it was controlled burn indeed

I would never let my dog walk on fire. However after close examination I discovered that he cut him self on something , before u say that I should not let him play with knife I swear I didn't let him play with it. He must have step on something:grumpy:

About a month ago when the ground was still snow covered (with a hard ice layer on top) I was walking 2 of my dogs and the ice cut one of their feet badly. I had to use the two leashes I had and rig up a harness to carry him him (nearly a mile) on my back hanging over my shoulders. The difference... He is a 90# pit. I knew it was gonna suck from the moment I stood up.

The things we do for our dogs.

Oh yea it was like -18* out side and I had on 3 layers making me all the less nimble.

There doing the controlled burns where I walk my dogs also, don't know the reasoning behind it, but I can speculate that it's a Good thing. Love the Picts , thanks for sharing.

Kills invasive undergrowth, helps the soil as well.
