Today is a sad day....

Then again I did happen to get the a random accident call that turned out to be an DUI arrest on the person who did a bad job for my wedding reception.

It's @***'s like you that give a bad rep to every guy wearing the blue!

So now you're gonna pay 'special attention' to knife carriers in the vain hope you might find your lost knife?
Let the gremmies have it for their mischief and buy yourself a new one. 2 days later the first one will turn up where you last left it. Then you will have 2... :D

That's a ~very~ expensive knife to carry. Around here I don't think many cops could afford one. Ya know, you might consider a less expensive knife for EDC.

The Opinel is the only knife I carry. If it gets lost, no biggie. And as of right now, mine is lost ~again~! :(

I'm not saying an Opinel is suitable for your needs, but certainly you can find an in-between.

Best Wishes,
Bob

Now I am stating a fact that if during my patrol duties I find my knife on somebody, I'll give them the opportunity to give it back. If not, arrest is my next course of action.

LOL only a cop would try and pass blame for his own clumsy, careless behavior on to some innocent person who found a knife on the ground. Im sure this guy has plenty of nice blades that he "confiscated" from theyre rightful owners. But anyone who happens by and picks up the knife you carelessly dropped... is a thief. Im sure karma will show you the error of your ways...always does :)

have a beautiful day

Well stated!!!! ;)

Good thing he only lost a knife.

Can you guess who would get the ticket if this clown were to run a red light and hit someone broadside? :(

I'm sorry you lost your knife, I really am.

I don't know, but I was raised "Finders keepers losers weepers."
In the Navy on board ship the rule was, "Don't leave your gear out and tempt your shipmates."

I've found stuff in my life and it never would occur to me that it was my responsibility to find the owner.

It reminds me of the Honeymooners episode where Ralph find a suitcase on the bus. After a month of waiting for the owner to claim it, it thens belongs to Ralph. He opens it with Ed Norton and it's full of money and Ed says, "I sure hope some poor person didn't lose it."

If I were a betting man I'd put my money on that somebody in your station house is now the proud owner of your knife. Probably won't be carrying EDC though. ;)

Now that's funny.
