Today Snowy Hike.

The Dogs and I got to spend some time in the snowy woods today,

…I thought you might like to come along.

Overlooking the frozen river down below.

The snow ended just in time for the sun to pop-out as it set.

I got lucky enough to start this fire with my first strike of the Firesteel, plenty of shredded Birch Bark was the key.

I carry several different Firesteels; a Magnesium Rod, a Bark River Ferro rod with Blackwood Handle, and Aurora Ferro/Mag rod in an aluminum case.

My new favorite rod is a Ferro/Mag rod I got from Tony that’s a full 5” long. :thumbup:
