Today was a good day...

All kidding aside I had a great time hanging out with my friend Bob. Seeing all those lovely knives is a real sensory overload. Sitting here now looking at the pics I see several knives that were missed. Probably for the better. The part about emptying my wallet is actually true. :D

A great read, Brian-- thanks! :D

... The fast-food napkin is a special touch.

I'm still leaning in towards the #78s, but am hoping to see one in person first, hopefully with an already-loved comparison in hand. Yours makes a compelling argument "for" in the meantime.

Thanks Sarah. It's a GEC spec brown paper bag specially designed to protect my car from scratches. Those were just my quick and dirty shots when I got back. In 6 months when it stops snowing every day I'll get some proper pics.
I took the pics at the bus stop while waiting to pick up my daughter. Now all the moms think I'm nuts. Well more nuts than they thought I was before this happened.
I probably won't get invited to the next moms group outing.
Oh well it was worth it.

You are the epitomy of a bad example I'd like to be...not looks mind you, I do appreciate the fine specimen that I already am, but being volunteered for such a neat job.:D

We don't get nearly as many shows out west, and they are one of my favorite activities in the universe!!
From the smile on your face alone, it looks like you had a good time, Brian. The knives and goodies are just icing on the cake!
I am envious as can be!
Thanks for the great report!!
And, it was nice meeting you at last year's Rendevous!!

Charlie,
Lonesome in the West!

Thanks Charlie. And the pleasure was all mine this summer. I hope we have the chance to meet again my friend.
